Jaylene brings years of experience as an art educator, having taught students of all ages, from youth to adults. She now creates art full-time in her home studio, working in a variety of mediums—from landscapes and portraits to abstract and three-dimensional pieces. With a Doctorate focused on therapeutic art, Jaylene is passionate about using art as a tool for emotional healing and wellness.

In this workshop, participants will learn the key fundamentals of portrait drawing, including the structure of the head, spatial relationships, and achieving accurate proportions. Through the use of pencil and charcoal, students will gain valuable insights into value changes and the subtleties of capturing character in a portrait.
