The City on the Lakes is starting a new tradition with the annual Celebrate Laconia Lights Festival. The Lights Festival includes the City’s annual holiday parade and Light-Up Laconia Holiday Decorating Competition, as well as the new City on the Lakes Holiday Walk and the Holiday Coloring Contest.
Make the Lights Festival Coloring Contest a family affair! Get creative with markers, crayons, gel pens, or other mediums for your entry. One winner per each age group will win fun prizes valued at $25 each – including art supplies, and gift certificates! Find more information about entries and a timeline below.

COLORING PAGES: Coloring pages with crayons will be available for pick-up beginning on Sunday, November 29 at the following local businesses while supplies last (please check each location for their business hours):
Belknap Mill – 25 Beacon Street East, Laconia
Franklin Savings Bank – 11 Sawmill Road, Gilford
Kellerhaus – 259 Endicott Street, Weirs Beach
Laconia Public Library – 695 North Main Street, Laconia
Wayfarer Coffee Roasters – 626 Main Street and 781 Union Avenue in Laconia

RULES: The intent of this contest is for children to have FUN and celebrate the holiday season. One entry per child. Participants must be between the ages of 4 and 12. Participants submission must be their own work, without assistance from anyone else. Prizes awarded are at the sole discretion of Celebrate Laconia. No late entries will be accepted. Employee, volunteers and immediate family members of Celebrate Laconia and Franklin Savings Bank are not eligible to participate. Judges decisions are final.
CONTEST SUBMISSION/DEADLINE: Contest entries are to be brought to drop-off locations (same as pick-up locations listed above) by Friday, December 11 at 4:00p.
JUDGING/VOTING: Each entry will be placed into an age group category on the Celebrate Laconia Facebook page. The general public can vote for their favorites from Monday, December 14 thru Sunday, December 20. There will be one winner per each age group. In the event of a tie, the winner will be selected at random. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 22 on the Celebrate Laconia Facebook and Instagram pages.
