Gilford Methodist Church Offers Traditional Harvest Supper
For over 50 years, the community has looked forward to this delicious Harvest Supper every fall. However, due to the pandemic, for the past two years the church has offered it as a takeout meal only. This year, on Saturday October 29th, they are returning to a sit-down meal in the church hall. The dinner features traditional bean-hole beans along with corned beef, cabbage, boiled potatoes, carrots, rolls, and homemade apple or pumpkin pie. Bean-hole beans are cooked overnight in the ground in large pots in holes lined with red hot stones. The church is proud to carry on this well-loved, longtime tradition. The dinner will be served family style but with spacing between guests to allow for a less crowded meal. For reservations or information, please call the church office at (603) 524-3289. Leave a message with your phone number if the office is closed. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. 5PM and 6:30 settings are available. Reservations are encouraged.
The First United Methodist Church (Hope Ministries) is located at 18 Wesley Way, Gilford (Rt. 11A near the Rt 3 by-pass).
