The Friends of the Meredith Library, 91 Main Street, will sponsor a February BOOK SALE – with
A TWIST!!! The “theme” for the February sale will be USED CRAFT SUPPLIES that have been
donated by members of the Friends (and their friends)!. You will find an entire section of books
about “crafts” as well…. along with our usual books of all categories, fiction, non-fiction,
biography, history, memoirs, children’s books and the list goes on!! Looking for something in
particular???? …just ask our volunteers!!
DATES AND TIMES are:
Thursday, Feb. 13th from 10 to 4:30
Friday, Feb. 14th from 10 to 4:30
Saturday, Feb. 15th from 10 to 4:30
All donated books are examined and cleaned and then sorted and boxed by category prior to
the sale.
There is no admission but donations are appreciated and support programs sponsored by the
Friends of the Library, such as…..
Children and adult reading programs
A new book for children entering kindergarten each year
After school teen programs
Summer reading programs
BingeBundles (helps you find a “new read”). A form is filled out about reading preferences at
the library or online. Then, a BingeBundle” is created by the library staff with a book that needs
to be returned..and several other surprises to keep!!
Visits by Stella the Miniature horse
Passes (free or reduced entrance fee) to the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, Castle in
the Clouds and other museums
Ancestry and genealogy programs and guest speakers from the New Hampshire Humanities
Council …. to name just a few!
The mission of the Friends of the Meredith Library is to promote library involvement in the
community and community involvement in the library.
