November 25, 2022, 4PM-7PM- City Plaza
Area roads will be closed prior to the event and manned with volunteer security personnel for direction assistance. (Main Street from Centre Street to School Street and N. State St. from Capitol to Park Streets, Basically the block surrounding the State House)
The sponsors, Grange #322 & the Fraternal Order of Eagles #613 are ramping up for the tree lighting already, and yes it is only September. We have one new addition this year already, and it is a local food vendor who will be bringing a food trailer for hot food for the public to purchase from them. It is the Smoke Shack from Boscawen. Many thanks to Josh for starting a new addition to the 37th tree lighting! I have also confirmed Krickey the clown and a helper will be making balloon animals for the children. Our DJ will return after doing music service at the parade as last year, and the fireworks will shoot off shortly after Santa’s arrival. 7 o’clock is fireworks hour as the tree lighting has expanded from 4 o’clock until 7 o’clock unlike other years. The easiest place to view the fireworks if you are at the tree lighting is crossing Eagle Square by the fountain and going on top of the legislative parking garage and look toward the post office on Loudon Road.
Granite State Baptist Church on Sheep Davis Road in Concord has confirmed they will be giving out hot chocolate as they have in the past.
Smoke Shack menu: Menu
Apple smoked pulled pork sandwich
Bbq steak and cheese sub
Sausage sub with peppers and onions
Smoked bbq chicken sandwich
Nathan’s all beef hot dog
Cheeseburger and fries
And a dessert menu to be determined. It will
include fried dough.
